Fincart Raises US$2.8M to Scale AI-Powered E-Commerce Infrastructure in Egypt
Orbit Ventures Team

Egypt-based e-commerce technology company Fincart has raised a US$2.8 million oversubscribed seed round co-led by Launch Africa and Antler MENAP, with participation from Orbit Ventures, Yango Ventures, Five35 Ventures, Bluestream Capital, Hi2 Global, Kalahari Venture Labs and other investors.

Founded in Cairo in 2023 by Mostafa Masry and Nihal Ali, Fincart is building an AI-powered operating system for e-commerce merchants. The platform integrates more than 40 shipping providers and combines shipping orchestration with merchant growth tools and embedded financial services, helping businesses manage operations and scale more efficiently.

Fincart initially focused on addressing the operational challenges surrounding last-mile delivery, including high shipping costs, delivery delays, cash reconciliation and fragmented service providers. The company has since expanded its platform to address a broader range of merchant needs across logistics, customer engagement and working capital.

The new funding will support the expansion of Fincart’s commercial and technology teams, continued product development and new commercial partnerships in Egypt. The company is also preparing to expand into additional markets in 2027.

The latest round builds on Fincart’s previous pre-seed financing, led by Plus VC with participation from Orbit Ventures, Plug and Play and other regional investors.

As e-commerce continues to grow across Egypt, Africa and the Middle East, Fincart is focused on building the infrastructure behind that growth — bringing traditionally fragmented functions into a more integrated operating system for merchants.
