Shamil Ramlan supports Orbit’s IT systems, security, and day-to-day technology operations. With a background in software engineering, he brings a technical and problem-solving mindset to maintaining reliable systems and support a globally distributed team.

Before joining Orbit, Shamil worked as a Software Engineer, contributing to a range of software projects and gaining experience in interesting and fast-paced startup environments. These experiences allowed him to work closely with different teams, adapt to changing requirements, and take on a variety of responsibilities. His background in software engineering has provided him with a strong technical foundation that he now brings to his role at Orbit.

Outside of work, Shamil enjoys running and fishing. Running is one of his favourite ways to stay active, while fishing gives him the opportunity to spend time outdoors and unwind. He values the balance these activities bring to his professional life and enjoys taking on new experiences and challenges both at work and outside of it.
