Emil Jersling is a Senior Growth Manager at Orbit Ventures, where he supports CEOs accelerate growth through data-driven decision-making. He draws on two decades of venture-building experience across Asia, Latin America, and Europe. An engineer by education, Emil uses experiments to develop best practices in everything from recruitment to operations and sales. While valuing his MBA knowledge, he focuses on coaching founders using insight from his own venture journeys.

Since 2005 Emil has founded eight companies in five countries, exited two, and led teams of up to 50 people. In 2011, he launched Groupon Belgium and later scaled similar ventures across nine markets. In 2018 he launched a vibration-energy–harvesting deep‑tech venture in China. In 2025 he founded a venture developing safe, sustainable organic flow batteries to address the energy challenges of climate change.

He takes many lessons from football, having given up on his dream of becoming a professional player. He’s an avid salsa dancer and exercises his creative thinking skills in stand‑up comedy, with over 250 shows across Asia and Europe since his debut in China 2022. Having lived, worked, and studied around the world, he speaks German, Spanish, Chinese, French, and Arabic, in addition to his native Swedish.
